Deirdre brings over 15 years of experience in the global chemical, cosmetic, and biocide sectors. She has developed her expertise in EU biocidal products regulation through her previous role as Head of Biocides at a service provider and her current position as Manager of Product Compliance at Merck KGaA Electronics – Surface Solutions. At Merck, she plays a key role in securing global approval for the IR3535® insect repellent active substance and manages the authorization and renewal of related biocidal product formulations.
Deirdre collaborates with various Task Forces and Consortia in both the Cosmetics and Biocides fields, providing ongoing regulatory support to ensure product compliance amidst a complex landscape of emerging and existing regulations.
