Kelly Bonner
Kelly A. Bonner is a litigator who focuses her practice on defending consumer product manufacturers and retailers in complex commercial and regulatory disputes. She regularly counsels clients on product labeling, packaging, and promotional concerns, as well as compliance with the Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Act, the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA), FDA guidance and regulations, cosmetic ingredient bans and restrictions, and state consumer protection and false advertising laws.
Kelly has written and spoken widely on litigation risk and regulatory issues frequent affecting businesses in the cosmetics and personal care industries, and has been quoted in national publications on the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA), and other state and federal laws and regulations concerning cosmetics, including Women’s Wear Daily, CosmeticsDesign, The Beauty Industry Review, Bloomberg Law, and Refinery29.
Kelly also was a featured guest on the award-winning beauty podcast, Fat Mascara, discussing cosmetics regulation. Beginning September 2024, Kelly is the author of CosmeticsDesign’s monthly column, The Legal Lens, devoted to discussing new developments in cosmetics regulations. Kelly is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law and New York University.
