Christine Papagni is a Supervising Scientist with the Safer Consumer Products (SCP) Program at the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). She has over 20 years of research experience and expertise in toxicology, chemistry, environmental science, and environmental policy. As a leader for the SCP Program’s chemical and product evaluation team, Christine oversees the research of many staff. Christine’s interest in product safety began in childhood, when her mom taught her to read product ingredient labels to avoid certain chemical allergens. She has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California, Riverside and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California, Davis.
