Kimberly Goetz
Kimberly Goetz has served as the Legislative Coordinator for the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Hazardous Waste and Toxics Reduction Program since 2008. She coordinates legislative activities for a variety of issues related to toxic chemicals, hazardous wastes, environmental justice, and financial responsibility. She is currently the Ecology lead for legislative issues related to antifouling boat paints and the state’s “Don’t Drip and Drive” vehicle leak detection program. Prior to joining the Department of Ecology, Kimberly worked for approximately five years conducting business investigations and nine years as a paralegal working in the areas of complex litigation, estate planning/probate, and business law. In addition to being a published author, she is a former member of the Washington State Bar Association’s Disciplinary Board and is a current member of the City of Lacey Historical Commission. Her BA (Political Science and Global Studies) is from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and her MPA (Public Policy) is from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.
