  1. Global Batteries Compliance Training

    • Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)
      • The EU's 2023 Battery Regulation will provide a foundation for the EMEA module, as well as for the other regional modules, as it is the most onerous global approach to batteries, addressing all aspects of the life
      • The module will also address battery laws in countries like the United Kingdom (UK), Switzerland, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia.
    • The Americas
      • The Americas module will address battery requirements in the US on the federal level, such as the EPA’s Mercury-Containing and Rechargeable Battery Management Act and the CPSC’s Reese’s Law, as well as EPR requirements in the states of California, Illinois and Vermont.
      • The module will also address Health Canada’s approach to battery safety, under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA), as well as the robust battery EPR requirements of the provinces and territories.
      • Mexico’s NOM-212-SCFI-2017, which restricts cadmium and mercury in batteries, and the emerging EPR landscape for waste batteries in countries like Colombia, Chile and Costa Rica, will also be covered.
    • Asia Pacific (APAC)
      • The APAC module will provide a primer on India’s Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022,. This will be covered in detail, addressing the rules’ EPR requirements for waste batteries. Additionally, India's Standard Mark requirements for particular batteries, such as multipurpose dry batteries and secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolytes, will be covered.
      • Australia's national voluntary Battery Stewardship Scheme, B-Cycle, will be outlined, along with the EPR approaches for waste batteries among the country’s’s provinces and territories.
      • China’s approach to compliance of lithium-ion and electric vehicle batteries, including an overview of the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) product certification system and applicable GB standards, will also be addressed.
