Marcus Navin-Jones
Marcus Navin-Jones is a Senior Counsel in the Crowell Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources Group. For more than two decades, Marcus has focused on Environmental and Sustainability Law. He advises clients on Regulatory/Compliance issues and litigates for clients before EU Courts, EU Boards of Appeal and other legal fora. Marcus currently serves on the CPVO Board of Appeal (Vice-Chairperson) which deals with certain IP right disputes. He is an Avocat in Belgium (Brussels), a Solicitor and Solicitor-Advocate in England & Wales, and a Solicitor in Ireland (pending re-activations).
Marcus has a wealth of experience in the public sector having worked at the European Commission (DG Internal Market) and the EFTA Surveillance Authority (ESA). Whilst at ESA, he was responsible for ensuring that three European countries complied with European Environmental and Sustainability Law, in particular: water pollution; air pollution; environmental impact assessments; chemical emissions; waste/circular economy; biodiversity; etc. Marcus also recently served as an Alternate Legally Qualified Member on the EU Chemicals Agency Board of Appeal, which deals with certain EU chemical law disputes.
