Daniele Ape, has obtained a MSc in Environmental Sciences at the Insubria University in Como (Italy) and subsequently an European Master in Risk Assessment and Risk Analysis on Chemicals. After a short experience working for the local public administration, he has worked during all his career on EU chemicals legislations. A
fter 2 years in private sector as consultant, he joined in 2009 the European Chemicals Agency where he worked on different aspects of the major EU Regulations on chemicals (in particular REACH and CLP, but also PIC and Biocides Product Regulation) until March 2025 when he joined the Commission, in DG ENV.
He is currently responsible for the development of hazardous waste related policies in the “Waste to resources” Unit.
