Synne Enstrøm
Synne Enstrøm is Technical Manager Chemicals at the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency, Air System Division, where she works with all kinds of chemicals used on aircraft, including biocides. She also has the role as Radiation Protection Coordinator for the Air System Division and Sustainability Coordinator for the department.
Synne is part of several NATO groups including NATO Science and technology organization and Aviation, Fuels, Lubricants Working Party. In October 2023, she gave the approval for using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) on the Norwegian aircraft fleet – and January 2025 Norway did their first flight on 40% SAF on their fighter jet F-35.
Before taking the position as the Technical Manager, Synne studied chemistry at the Norwegian University Life Sciences from 2013-2018. She started her career as an occupational hygienist and worked in the industry for almost 5 years.
