Stuart Caldwell
Stuart has worked in the paper and water treatment industry for over 30 years.
After a first degree in Liverpool, a BSc(Hons) Applied Biology, Stuart started working for the technical services group at Betz Ltd in their microbiology laboratory and their mobile field laboratory and then took on their water treatment account management with the whole portfolio of applications provided to their end users.
He then moved into business management with Hercules, where he was the UK lead for water treatment sales in the paper industry.
Following a short time leading the European Health and Safety team for Ashland he moved into regulatory management, initially for the REACh regulation, but for the last ten years, under Solenis, focusing on the BPD and BPR regulation. Solenis is now a very diverse company and has a mixture of active substance and biocidal product dossiers under evaluation, or approved, under the BPR.
