Biocides Symposium 2025

As Senior Policy Officer Biocides, Peter represents the Netherlands in the comitology meetings of the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR). He joined the Ministry in this position in 2021. In 2023, the Dutch government presented the Strategic Framework on Biocides. Peter works to ensure that the framework’s goals are reflected in the development of European legislation.

 Peter holds a degree in Plant Science from Wageningen University. Earlier in his career, he worked in various roles related to plant protection products, including as Policy Officer at the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority.
