Nancy Beck, PhD, DABT, has nearly 30 years of applied public health experience, sixteen of which were from her time in government, including senior leadership positions at EPA and the White House. Dr. Beck currently serves as the Principal Deputy Assistant Administrator in EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention. Prior to joining EPA, Dr. Beck was the Director of Regulatory Science at a law firm where she advised industry leaders on the impact of environmental policies, including chemical regulations and compliance programs, applying her in-depth knowledge and experience as a PhD toxicologist. Throughout her career, Dr. Beck has gained extensive understanding of chemical risk assessment, regulatory processes, and the scientific underpinnings of federal and state regulations, including but not limited to the Toxic Substances Control Act, the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, and the Clean Air Act.
