Angela Pinilla, PhD, is a sustainability strategist and policy development expert with over 15 years of experience driving impactful change across academia, non-profits, and international organizations. Currently Senior Program Manager for the Chemical Footprint Project at Clean Production Action, Angela leads transformative initiatives that bridge scientific research, business strategy, and safer chemical solutions, collaborating with Fortune 500 companies, governments, and investors to advance sustainable chemicals management.

Her expertise has shaped global policy as an active participant in United Nations negotiations on chemicals and waste, and she has been a key voice in the development of international frameworks for safer, more sustainable business practices. Angela’s academic credentials include a PhD in Business and Management from the University of Nottingham (UK). She has held prestigious fellowships and faculty positions, including at Harvard Kennedy School and Universidad de Los Andes, and serves as an assessor for executive education at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
