Food Contact Materials Practical Training Series

This module will cover the key aspects of Mercosur FCM regulations, showing practical case studies to better understand the application of the regulatory requirements. The module is structured to allow for a more in-depth exploration of specific regulations, while providing a comprehensive overview of the regulatory landscape. 

The case studies provided are intended to reflect real-world scenarios, helping you apply your gained knowledge to real situations. 

By the end of the module, you will be equipped with the necessary skills to navigate the complex landscape of FCM regulations in Mercosur, ensure compliance of your products, and anticipate future regulatory developments in the region.

By attending this training course, you will learn: 

• the structure and function of Mercosur in relation to FCM regulations; 

• how Mercosur regulations are implemented across member states; 

• key regulations governing different types of materials (including plastics, cellulosic materials and metals); 

• specific requirements for various FCMs, including permitted substances migration limits;

• testing methodologies for assessing FCM compliance;
