Jenn Klein
Jenn Klein is President & Chief Executive Officer of the Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA), leading the national trade association representing specialty and batch chemical manufacturers across North America. She works closely with SOCMA’s Board of Governors, staff, and members to advance effective advocacy, strengthen engagement, and deliver meaningful value to member companies
Jenn brings more than 25 years of experience in government affairs, association leadership, and public policy. Prior to joining SOCMA, she served for more than a decade as President of the Ohio Chemistry Technology Council (OCTC), where she led the statewide trade association representing Ohio’s chemistry industry. During her tenure, OCTC achieved significant growth, including an 85 percent increase in membership and substantial strengthening of the organization’s financial position.
Earlier in her career, Jenn held senior roles in government affairs and policy at Chesapeake Energy, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, and served in legislative roles in the Ohio Senate. Across these positions, she developed deep expertise in regulatory and legislative advocacy, coalition building, and stakeholder engagement.
Jenn is widely recognized for her strategic leadership, collaborative approach, and ability to build strong partnerships that advance industry priorities and support long-term organizational success.
