Dr Rembrandt Koppelaar
Dr. Rembrandt Koppelaar is Chief Product Manager at EcoWise (London, UK). He has worked since 2018 on digital product & circular economy innovations, after two decades of expertise in energy transition research. He leads the efforts on Digital Product Passport (DPP) deployments with EcoWise’s platform, including as part of the CIRPASS-2 50+ partner project, which serves to facilitate interoperable product information management for future EU systems.
He also leads the 250 member cirpass-2 Expert Working Group on EU & Global DPP regulations.
He received the CEN-CENELEC 2025 Standards & Innovation award for his work on Digital Product Passport standardization. He co-authored 30 academic papers of which 7 as lead author, wrote 2 books about the energy transition, and holds a PhD from Imperial College London.
