Regulatory Developments @ Regulatory Summit Europe 2026

As EU Regulatory Fellow at Dow with more than 20 years of experience in regulatory toxicology across government and industry Nicholas supports global regulatory compliance for Dow’s businesses and currently leads the company’s programme preparing for the upcoming Polymer REACH regulation. He also serves as Chair of the CEFIC Polymer Issue Team, coordinating industry efforts on potential polymer regulation under REACH.

Throughout his career, he has remained active in scientific research, publishing on topics such as read‑across, exposure‑based adaptations, mutagenicity, skin sensitisation, and cheminformatics‑based toxicity prediction.

He has held several leadership roles at Dow, including leading the Cellular and Molecular Toxicology team in the US and serving as Global Toxicology Consultant Team Leader for EMEAI and AP regions. He has managed numerous projects related to EU REACH compliance and is currently leading major initiatives focused on the EU REACH revision, Safer Materials, and data‑sharing/access.

As a Fellow, he also play a key role in developing technical talent within the Dow Product Safety Organisation, helping to shape the capability‑building framework and mentoring emerging experts.
