Dorte Herzke
Dorte is a senior researcher and environmental chemist at the Environmental Chemistry department at NILU, Norwegian Institute for Air Research, located at the Fram Centre, Tromsø. She is also a Prof II at UiT, The Arctic University of Norway. Within NILU, she has been the Head of Section for Arctic Environment for 8 years. She was one of the first scientists investigating sources and environmental distribution of PFAS in Norway, leading projects and collaborating nationally and internationally on emerging PFAS since 2005. She is advising national and international bodies on research strategies, legislation, remediation, and solutions on PFAS as a global pollutant (N-EPA, AMAP, Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment).
