Ioannis is a scientific expert in Division IV of the German Environment Agency, dealing with environmental risk assessment and identification of hazardous chemicals within the framework of the EU REACH regulation. He is currently the managing partner for the LIFE AskREACH project. He has previously worked in the field of aquatic environmental pollution with organic compounds and at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Belgium, developing certified reference materials for the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive.
