Enrique is a biochemist and a toxicologist working as a policy officer in the Waste and Secondary Materials Unit of DG Environment. He works in areas related to the interface between chemicals, products and waste and is currently involved in the implementation of the Circular Economy Action Plan. Before joining the European Commission in 2010 he worked for 19 years as a consultant in the fields of environmental management and chemical safety.
