This one-day virtual conference from Chemical Watch follows on from our 2020 event on the Echa substances of concern in products (Scip) database. It brings together a panel of expert speakers, including representatives from Echa, industry, NGOs and member states.

As of 5 January, companies have had a duty to notify Echa if any articles they place on the EU market contain substances of very high concern (SVHCs) in concentrations above 0.1% w/w.

Through a mix of presentations, discussion panels and Q&A sessions, this conference will explore the first experiences with the Scip database, including challenges, successes, industry standards and the evolution of notification duties. There will be an update from the Echa Scip team, as well as discussion around how different industries have managed their notification duties so far.

Key sessions will explore the implementation and enforcement implications of the database and take a look at how the dissemination of Scip data affects various important stakeholders, examining how the database is beginning to contribute to a safer circular economy.

Join us for this timely event where government officials, industry representatives, NGOs and other experts will share their advice, experiences and best practices.
