Riaz Zaman
Riaz Zaman is Government Affairs Counsel for the American Coatings Association. As counsel, he directs the Product Stewardship and the Occupational Safety and Health Committees at ACA. He works with ACA’s members to develop industry positions on a variety of related legislative and regulatory issues that confront the coatings industry. Riaz works closely with members on chemicals management, biocides management, worker safety and product labelling issues at the state, federal and international levels. At the international level, Riaz advises members of the World Coatings Council, an international trade association managed by ACA. In this capacity, Riaz serves on the Board of the Responsible Mica Initiative, an NGO established to eliminate child labor from the mica supply chain. Riaz is a lawyer and a chemist and has been advising industry about chemicals management issues for over ten years.
