Martin Kayser
Before his current position at BASF SE, Martin worked as a medical doctor in surgery and internal medicine from 1982 – 1987 in Germany. He joint BASF in 1987 as a scientific staff member. From 1999 – 2003 he worked for Bayer Corporation in Connecticut (USA) and Bayer AG in Wuppertal (Germany). His last position was as senior vice president of preclinical development. In 2004 he came back to BASF SE as senior vice president and head of Product Safety. His current position is SVP of corporate projects including the Alliance to End Plastic Waste. He acts as chairman of the AGS (Ausschuss für Gefahrstoffe) and he is a member of several Cefic teams. Since 2008, Martin has been Co-Chair of the ICCA Chemical Policy & Health Leadership Group where he has advanced the development and global implementation of ICCA’s Global Product Strategy since the very beginning.
