The EU Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability: One Year On

Andrew was, for the last 10 years, the Technically Qualified Member of the ECHA Board of Appeal. After the completion of his second and final term (mandated by REACH, Article 90.1) he is working as a consultant. He has over 30 years senior level experience working on
national/EU/international regulatory chemicals issues. Career highlights include being a member of the small team in DG ENTR (Enterprise) responsible for drafting the European Commission’s proposal for REACH. Andrew was also one of the lead EU negotiators in the development and adoption of the Globally Harmonised System for the classification and labelling of chemicals, working with OECD, ILO and other international bodies. He was the UK representative at the UN Committee of Experts on GHS.
