Sam is UK Science Programme Manager with Cruelty Free International, the leading organisation working solely to end animal experiments worldwide. Sam – formerly a veterinary surgeon – used animal-free approaches including organoid cultivation and ‘omics during her molecular virology PhD, and she now works with regulators, government officials and companies to promote innovative non-animal methods as scientifically robust alternatives to animal tests for protecting humans and the environment from the toxic effects of chemicals and other substances and products. She has a postgraduate certificate in animal welfare science, ethics and law.
