Eric Liégeois graduated MSc in Chemistry and Agricultural Industries (UGembloux - Belgium) in 1990. After first experiences as researcher, Belgian civil servant and public manager, he joined the European Commission in 2002 in DG ENVIRONMENT, then DG ENTREPRISE where he was in charge of various policies, including pesticides, fertilisers, plastics, bio- and circular economy. In April 2018 he joined DG SANTE in the Unit Pesticides and Biocides where he is in charge of the biopesticides, and risk reduction activities.
