Simón Gutiérrez Alonso
Team Leader in the Biocidal Active Substances Unit, Echa, Finland
Simón has more than 10 years of experience in the field of biocides, first working in the Spanish Competent Authority, later in one of the main biocide manufacturers in Europe and currently in the European Chemicals Agency. Simon has a master’s degree in environmental sciences and holds a PhD in ecotoxicology from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
Simon has wide experience in active substance and biocidal products assessment and has been actively involved in the implementation of the EU Endocrine Criteria for biocides.
