The latest updates on European biocidal regulations direct from the experts
Nearly nine years after the EU biocidal products Regulation (BPR) came into force, the biocides sector is confronting significant challenges. Companies and regulators are being kept on their toes by a new GB BPR scheme following Brexit, the growing need for sustainable alternatives and early experiences with biocidal product families.
Meanwhile, long-running issues continue, including disruptive delays to the biocides review programme and authorisation processes, as well as the demanding new criteria for identifying endocrine disrupting (ED) chemicals.
At Chemical Watch’s annual Biocides Symposium, experts will explore how stakeholders can be compliant in the face of these ongoing challenges, and discuss how to increase the sustainable use of biocides and stimulate innovation under the BPR.
