Amanda Nguyen
Amanda Nguyen is the Vice President, Government Affairs & Legal, for Fragrance Creators Association based in Arlington, VA. Leading the association’s Government Affairs and Legal Department, her focus is on ensuring effective industry advocacy and providing in-house legal support. She engages with state and federal policymakers on a range of fragrance-related issues, including ingredient communication, chemical management, and trade and tariffs. Before joining Fragrance Creators, Amanda served as an assistant attorney general at the Tennessee Office of the Attorney General and Reporter (TN AG). There, she was involved with multi-state suits and compliance efforts through the National Association of Attorneys General, drafting and advocating for legislation, and litigating consumer and regulatory issues. Coordinating committees and stakeholders, antitrust considerations, and regulatory compliance were part of her day-to-day duties at the TN AG. She also spent time at the Kansas Legislative Research Department, which provides nonpartisan research and fiscal analysis to the Kansas legislature. In addition to her state government experience, she worked at the Environmental Law Institute and for Vanderbilt University Law School, where she concentrated on private governance, voluntary standards, value chain and green marketing.
