Event overview

This event promises to be the first-of-its kind in Asia Pacific. It will be a one-day practical conference with interactive Q&A sessions to raise awareness and standards of Risk Assessment and Products Safety in Asia Pacific. Key industry stakeholders, regulatory toxicologists from agencies in the EU and Asia Pacific as well as key speakers from ACTRA (Australasian College of Toxicology and Risk Assessment) are speaking on the day. Other speakers include those from the EU (including European regulators), Japan, Korea, Thailand, Australia & Malaysia, from industry, agencies and professional organisations.

Topics covered include food, consumer products, personal care products, chemicals (including biocides & pesticides) and therapeutic goods/life science products. Supported by the Singapore Manufacturing Federation, this conference offers a  unique opportunity to stay in line with international chemicals regulation and expectations of chemicals risk management in products . The one-day event - including presentations, round table discussions and Q&As - brings together over 15 experts in global chemical risk assessment and regulation.

The one-day conference will ensure you:
  • know the latest scientific knowledge about the adverse impacts of chemicals in everyday products;
  • discover where the risks lie in your product development strategy;
  • learn about the regulatory hurdles you will need to overcome in order to successfully launch products in other countries;
  • become more confident of your ability to negotiate the purchasing of access to chemicals safety data, which is now a requirement of selling products in the EU.

During the day, you will hear updates from Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, Australia and Japan along with an update on REACH and the role of ECHA, together with the latest news from industry case studies.
