Global Product Regulation - Substance of Concern (SOC) Compliance Management/ Product Planning, Volvo Group

Astrid started to work with chemical legislation 18 years ago at BASF AB, followed by Akzo Nobel and since 10 years at Volvo Group.

At Volvo Group she works as responsible to manage compliance with global Substances of concerns (SOC) regulation which includes Reach like regulations, Ozone Depleting Chemicals, critical substances, conflict minerals, ELV directive, battery directive and the circular economy. She contributes to the definition and execution of the global regulation development strategy in alignment with the Volvo Group product solution strategies.  

She represents Volvo  

  • on manufacturer trade association regulatory committees as
    • ACEA, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (TF-REACH, WG-MS, WG-RG, WG-RG BATTERIES, TF-BIOCIDES, TF on Process chemicals)
    • Teknikföretagen, the Association of Swedish Engineering Industries (REACH WG)
    • BIL Sweden, the Swedish trade association for manufacturers and importers of cars, trucks and buses (REACH TF)
  • in the International material data system (IMDS) SC and sponsor group
  • in the Global Automotive Stakeholders Group (GASG) – SC Europe Region
  • in the Global List of Automotive Process Substances (GLAPS) – WG Europe Region
