Shane Donatello

Shane is working with the JRC on the 2nd chemicals task force, attempting to address issues with the implementation of horizontal criteria for hazardous substances and mixtures across different product groups.
His educational background includes a degree in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Glasgow, a Master in Water Pollution Control Technology from Cranfield University and a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Imperial College. Prior to joining the Commission, Shane had previously worked in academic research (value recovery from wastes and cement chemistry) and in the water industry.
