Delve into the latest regulatory developments in North America

Now in its fifth year, the Chemical Watch Regulatory Summit USA will focus on the latest developments in international, federal and state-level legislation, including the new US Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).

This summit offers a unique opportunity to get ahead of the latest regulatory challenges facing the safe management of chemicals. The two-day event – including presentations, roundtable discussions and Q&As – brings together over 25 experts in global chemicals regulation.

Day one focuses on the new TSCA. For the first session of the summit, Chemical Watch is pleased to have assembled an impressive faculty of TSCA experts representing the perspectives of industry, academia, NGOs and US federal and state regulators who will share their expert knowledge. The second session looks at other developments in North America, including state-level activity and updates on the review of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) plus the U.S. Green chemistry initiative.

Day two starts with a session focused on Europe, and includes an update on REACH and the approaching 2018 registration deadline, and the impact of Brexit on the UK chemicals industry. Our final session is presented by expert speakers who will provide you with an up-to-the-minute view of key regulatory and compliance issues in Turkey, Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, the Middle East and Australia.

Workshop: TSCA one year on is a one-day workshop taking place before the Summit on 17 October, allowing you to get fully up to date with the changes made to TSCA since its revision in 2016. This can be booked on its own or as part of the rest of the conference - please visit the 'Programme' tab for further information.
