Karyn Schmidt
Karyn is Senior Director, Regulatory & Scientific Affairs at the American Chemistry Council. She has more than 30 years of experience working on chemicals management, environment, sustainability, and other issues, as a lawyer and trade association policy representative.
Karyn has broad experience with the U.S. Toxic Substances Control Act, including leading efforts to support implementation of the 2016 amendments to TSCA by the Lautenberg Chemical Safety Act, as well as state, federal, and global chemicals management regulation. She is currently the TSCA risk management lead at ACC.
Karyn is a graduate of the College of William & Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law and conducted her undergraduate studies at James Madison University. She is admitted to the Virginia bar.
