Karyn Schmidt is senior director in the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Regulatory and Technical Affairs Department and the Global Team Lead. She leads ACC’s Global Affairs Team and ACC’s advocacy on microplastics issues. Karyn has expertise in a broad range of health, product stewardship, science policy, and plastics policy issues. She has led key organisational efforts on product labeling, ingredient disclosure, sustainability, alternatives assessment, cost-benefit analysis, and green marketing.
Ms Schmidt received her JD from the College of William and Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law and her BS from James Madison University.
