Mary Iakovidou

Mary Iakovidou has worked with the regulation of chemicals, mostly in the biocides area, for the last 27 years. She started working on active substance evaluations at the Health and Safety Executive in the UK, eventually contributing to technical guidance for the Biocidal Products Directive.
After 10 years, Mary moved to Sweden where she works for the Biocides CA. She provided expert support during the negotiation of the Biocidal Products Regulation, and she now addresses issues arising from the implementation of the BPR and represents Sweden at the CA and Standing Committee meetings.
