William Wilson
William Wilson is an environmental and energy lawyer, with 25 years experience, in government, consultancy and private practice, of preparing, negotiating and drafting primary, secondary, EU and international legislation, working with multiple stakeholders. He worked for 9 years in the UK Government Legal Service at the Department of the Environment/DETR/Defra, and for 15 years helped to build up the environmental and energy law practice of a major UK law firm.
He spent two and a half years closely involved with the negotiations of the REACH Regulation with the metals and mining industries, is a member of the Environment and Hazmat committees of the A/D/S aerospace and defence trade association, and has advised major multinational clients, and governments on REACH and other chemicals regulation issues since 2004. Recent work includes advice on a Data Sharing Dispute, and input to an appeal to the ECHA Board of Appeal. He currently works as a Barrister and Director of his own consultancy, Wyeside Consulting Ltd
