David Weller

David Weller is an Expert Advisor on the New Zealand National Advisory Panel for Emerging Contaminants, and a Hazardous Substances Advisor at the New Zealand Environmental Protection Authority (NZ EPA) since 2013. The NZ EPA is the government agency responsible for regulatory functions concerning New Zealand's environmental management, including the regulation of biocides.

David has acquired skills and expert knowledge across a wide spectrum of disciplines including biochemistry, pharmacology, microbiology, molecular bioscience, ecology, chemistry and environmental regulation. His involvement in research in many of these disciplines has led to published work in international journals.

He also presents at a variety of conferences, including the International SOLAS Summer School in Corsica, France, and the International Conference on Emerging Contaminants and Micropollutants in the Environment in Sydney, Australia.
