Guidance for Identifying Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals

Dr. Bieke Scharlaken studied Biotechnology at Ghent University in Belgium and is holding a Ph. D. in Biochemistry also from Ghent University with a research focus on molecular entomology.

After working almost 10 years in the crop protection and biocide industry in various regulatory roles but always with a focus on endocrine disruption, ecotoxicology and toxicology, she joined knoell in 2020 and has since then worked in the crop protection sector with a focus on ecotoxicology and regulatory affairs. She is part of the knoell ED expert team and is involved in the assessment of active substances (biocides and crop protection) with respect to endocrine disrupting properties.
