Emily McIvor
Emily is a leading expert in EU animal welfare policy, specialising in the replacement of animals used in research and testing. Having followed REACH since its adoption - and before that through the political negotiation - Emily has a long-standing experience of the relevant drivers and barriers to adoption of non-animal tests. As a consortium member of "AXLR8", the EU Seventh Framework Programme-funded project focused on accelerating the transition to a toxicity pathway-based paradigm for chemical safety assessment, Emily has monitored relevant scientific developments and policy initiatives. Emily is a member of the "Mirror Group" of the European Platform on Alternatives to Animal Testing (EPAA).
