Jakob covers environmental policy, sustainability and business for Danish wholesale and retailers. The Chamber covers the interests for 17.000 member companies. Some important issues are product safety i.e. chemicals in consumer products, responsible labelling and lack of market health risks from e-commerce of private import of articles from e.g. the China.
Other issues are circular economy and development of more sustainable packaging for products. Previous jobs include PwC and climate change, ecolabeling for Nordic Swan and EU Flower and science for UN on climate change. He has a Ph.D in effects on climate change on forest ecosystem.
