Glenn Lurman

Scientist, German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR)

Born and raised in a far-away land, Glenn migrated from New Zealand to Europe with high hopes at the tender age of 25 to undertake a doctoral thesis at the Alfred Wegener Institute. Successful completion inevitably led to a post-doc at the British Antarctic Survey and then a lecturer/senior lecturer position at the University of Bern.

An idealistic desire to tackle real-world problems drove Glenn to the Pesticides Safety Division of the BfR in early 2016. Since then, Glenn has diligently strived to provide scientifically sound advice concerning pesticide and biocide safety within the confines of the EU regulatory framework.
