Catherine Gourlay-Francé

Catherine is a civil engineer from the national school for rural engineering for water and forests and also has a PhD in ecotoxicology. After 10 years in a public institution as a researcher, dealing with water pollution issues, she moved to the French Agency for food, environmental and occupational health and Safety (ANSES) in 2012.
She is currently in charge of the management of the biocides-related activities. ANSES performs the scientific assessment of biocidal products and active substances and provides scientific expertise to the French ministries. Since July 2016, ANSES is also in charge of delivering biocidal product authorisations.
