Troy Virgo
Troy Virgo is Director of Sustainability and Product Stewardship for global flooring manufacturer and supplier Shaw Industries Inc., headquartered in Dalton, Georgia, USA. Guided by a corporate vision to create a better future, Shaw believes that safe, sustainable products should be available for homes and workspaces at all price points. 85% of the products the company manufactures are Cradle to Cradle Certified.
Troy and his team have primary responsibility driving sustainability efforts across the enterprise in support of the company’s commercial and residential brands.
Troy has been at Shaw for 22 years. Prior to his current position, he was in positions of increasing responsibility for environmental permitting and regulatory compliance for all Shaw’s manufacturing and distribution operations.
Troy has a B.Sc. in Environmental Science from Auburn University. Prior to attending college, Troy served five years as a Marine Engineer in the British Army. He became a U.S. citizen in 2005.
