Tavinder Sidhu
Tavinder is an Advocate on Record with the Supreme Court of India and is qualified to practice as a Solicitor in the Courts of England and Wales. Having active trial experience in mercantile, property and banking matters, he currently represents clients in matters before the Supreme Court. Tavinder’s expertise extends to issues relating to government contracts, tender laws, labour and employment related matters. He represents clients before arbitral tribunals and in appeals before various courts relating to civil engineering contracts.
Tavinder heads the environmental, health and safety (EHS) law department in the Delhi office and oversees cases before the National Green Tribunals, the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court. He also represents clients before regulatory authorities to obtain environmental clearances and approvals relating to Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) areas, wildlife, and use of protected areas for non-forest purposes for infrastructure projects of national importance.
He regularly advises clients on laws pertaining to water pollution, hazardous waste, e-waste and plastic waste, and in this context represents clients before the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, the Central Pollution Control Board and the State Pollution Control Boards.
