Chair of the Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC), European Chemicals Agency
Dr Tim Bowmer joined ECHA in 2012 as Chair of the Committee for Risk Assessment and has steered RAC through more than 40 meetings. RAC makes recommendations to the European Commission on Restrictions, Authorisations, Classification and labelling, Occupational Exposure Limits and from 2025 onwards, the Drinking Water Directive EU positive list. The committee has adopted over 1000 opinions.
