Hong Zhang is a research associate of the China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment and is mainly responsible for the secretariat work of Food Safety National Standards Review Committee Food Related Products Sub-committee, and the organisation of technical review for the administrative license for new varieties of food contact (FC) products.

She participated in the development and revision of more than 20 food contact standards, including GB 9685 standard for the use of additives in food contact materials, GB 31603 general hygienic standards for food contact materials manufacturers and GB 4806.1 general safety requirements for food contact materials and a series of product standards for FCM.
