UK Chemicals Regulations 2023

Janet is Head of Regulatory Science for the UK, Ireland and Nordics at Bayer CropScience Ltd, based in Cambridge, UK. She has worked for Bayer and its’ predecessor companies in regulatory science for more than 30 years.

Janet has also been the Chairperson of the CropLife UK  Policy and Regulatory Group for over 7 years, having taken over the role on Brexit voting day. 

Janet has a degree in Environmental Microbiology from the University of Warwick and a Masters’ degree in Toxicology from the University of Kentucky in the US.

She is in regular contact with the competent authorities for agrochemicals, seeds and traits in the UK, Ireland and Nordics is one of the key figures leading the industry on the future of Great Britain and Northern Ireland policy on pesticide regulation.

In her spare time, Janet keeps active by being a competitive masters swimmer.
