Kate McGlynn
Kate McGlynn is the Executive Director of the Recycled Paperboard Technical Association (RPTA), an association dedicated to the improvement of recycled paperboard and containerboard. She is responsible for RPTA’s technical programs, including all facets of RPTA’s comprehensive program for food-contact materials manufactured from recycled materials.
Kate has over 30 years’ experience in the paper industry, in both mill and corporate positions at International Paper and Packaging Corporation of America. Kate has been in the product stewardship field for 15 years and has been with RPTA since 2019.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY; a Master of Science in Pulp & Paper Engineering from the Institute of Paper Chemistry in Appleton, WI; and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston in Houston, TX. She is a member of the Technical Association of the Pulp & Paper Industry and the Alabama State Bar Association.
