Leticia Carvalho is a Brazilian civil servant and environmentalist with over 20 years in governance experience. She is currently General-Coordinator of Environmental Quality at the Ministry of the Environment of Brazil – the branch for transboundary pollutants, chemicals and waste. President of the National Commission for Chemical Safety for emerging policy issues such as nanotechnology, highly hazardous pesticides, persistent pharmaceuticals, endocrine-disrupting chemicals and hazardous chemicals in electronic products - new drivers to environment and health exposure.
