John Katz is a Pollution Prevention Coordinator at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Southwest Regional Office. He specializes in reducing toxics in products and environmentally preferable purchasing, with a focus on electronics. He has contributed to the development of five sustainability standards for electronics under IEEE, UL and NSF. Prior to working at EPA, he worked for the Minnesota Environmental Quality Board, and for a non-profit public interest law firm. He has a Masters in Environmental Policy from the University of Minnesota, and a B.A. in Government from Wesleyan University.
