Up-to-the-minute information on chemical restrictions in electronics and electricals

With an increasing demand for information specific to chemicals management and regulations in the electronics industry, Chemical Watch created the new event Chemicals Management for Electronics and Electricals USA that was unique to the industry. The event featured talks from expert industry speakers, informative panel discussions and the opportunity to network with important figures in the world of chemicals management for electronics and electricals.

Day one started with updates and developments from Europe, including the RoHS Directive together with the Medical Devices Directive. This session also included important issues such as REACH Annex 17 and EU Circular Economy initiatives, followed by significant global developments, including updates from China, Taiwan, the Middle East and Latin America. The day closed with a focus on the
POPs Regulations.

Day two looked at updates on regulations and standards in North America, including Proposition 65. During the day, expert speakers also touched on issues such as the Electronics Waste initiatives in Canada, supply chain issues for manufacturers of complex components, and the role of NGOs. The day finished with a special panel where representatives from industry discussed how they are addressing environmental and human health performance leadership.
